The action take place concurrently with the adventure of the game itself, and reveals events kept secret over the course of game play, and which add to the canonical Mass Effect saga. 

Mass Effect: Andromeda is an upcoming action role-playing third-person shooter video game developed by BioWare and published by Electronic Arts for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
